Getting Started

This guide walks you through the Tap experience from sign-up to your first campaign analysis.

User Journey Overview

The journey below shows the key steps a new user takes, from first landing on Tap to reviewing their campaign results.

Step 1: Sign Up

  1. Go to tap-peach.vercel.app
  2. Click Sign Up
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. You'll land on your Dashboard — empty for now

Step 2: Create a Campaign

  1. Click New Campaign on the dashboard
  2. The Mission Wizard opens — describe what you want to learn in your own words
    • Example: "I want to understand how my team feels about our new remote work policy"
  3. The AI will:
    • Extract your topic, audience, and success criteria
    • Ask a clarifying question if needed
    • Generate 3 unbiased question options
  4. Pick the question that best fits your goal
  5. Configure your campaign:
    • Name — a label for your reference
    • Audience type — internal (employees) or external (customers)
    • Anonymous — whether participant names are visible to you
    • Max follow-ups — how many AI follow-up questions (1-3 recommended)

Step 3: Upload Participants

  1. Prepare a CSV file with columns: name and email
  2. Upload it on the campaign configuration page
  3. Review the participant list

Example CSV:

name,email
Alice Smith,alice@company.com
Bob Jones,bob@company.com
Carol Wu,carol@company.com

Step 4: Launch

  1. Click Launch Campaign
  2. Tap sends styled invitation emails to all participants
  3. Each participant gets a unique link — no login required on their end

Step 5: Monitor Responses

  • Your campaign dashboard shows:
    • Response progress — how many have responded
    • Participant status — pending, invited, in progress, completed
    • Conversation transcripts — click any participant to read their full conversation

Step 6: Analyze Results

Once you have enough responses:

  1. Click Complete Campaign (or let participants finish naturally)
  2. Click Analyze Responses
  3. Tap's AI generates:
    • Sentiment breakdown — positive, neutral, negative percentages
    • Key themes — up to 10 themes sorted by frequency
    • Executive summary — findings, recommendations, and participation stats
    • Conversation groups — responses clustered by topic
  4. Use Q&A to ask natural language questions about your data
    • Example: "What are the top complaints?" or "How do remote workers feel compared to in-office?"

What Participants Experience

From the participant's perspective:

  1. They receive a professional email explaining the campaign purpose
  2. They click a link and see the opening question in a chat interface
  3. They type their response
  4. The AI asks 1-3 follow-up questions based on what they said
  5. The conversation ends naturally with a thank-you message

No account creation. No login. Takes 2-5 minutes.
